Wonderful Wednesday: Weeks in Review!

Mmmm...the weeks have flown by! I hope you're still out there, dear, faithful reader(s) :)

The past few weekends have consisted of group hikes, family-style dinners, and games with friends! Below is a photo of the beautiful Daley Ranch.

Small lake on Daley Ranch hike (March 13, 2010)
What a wonderful day to spend hiking with friends! We started our hike around 11AM...and thank goodness for the clouds! The shade of the clouds provided much comfort to those of us who do not like being hot and uncomfortable during hikes. The hike mileage was almost 8 miles! We'll just say 8 miles!!! It was a great mix of steep hills and flat paths, with some huge boulders (below) and lakes along the way.
The guys wanted to do a little photo shoot...so manly!
After hiking we went back home to rest and relax before heading over to Rae Charles' place for dinner and games. Dinner was mostly clean, with chicken, baked vegetables, and parsley/mint pesto pasta. :) Delicious!

We also helped out with an engagement party for our dear friend, Sarah Gordon (soon to be Sager!). Love them! I also found out, that I will be a bridesmaid for this lovely lady! Can't wait till July 31st!

Another new adventure in my life these days...Indie Biz 2.0! I'm taking an online course for artsy/crafty people who are interested in learning about business for the handmade crafts. It is a six week course, and I am excited to be a part of this great community. There are over 500 students enrolled in this course. The course consists of daily sessions on various topics from creating a business name to blogging "how-to's" for your business. It has been a great source of encouragement to "meet" some new crafty friends and get ideas rolling for my own little business (in the future!). More details to come on that soon! I have a name and am working on the blog and products :) We'll see how it goes!

Recipes in review coming tomorrow! Think: Bison Chili! :)

much love. meg

  1. It has been beautiful here, hasn't it? I have never been on that hike. We usually hike Viejas mountain and it's a toughie! You definitely won't find me doing it in the afternoon today though, it's a bit toasty out, for March anyways : ) Thanks for sharing Megan!

Good luck with the online course and subsequently starting your business.
