It's Friday (frugal) date night! Lately we've been trying to spend less and dine out less. When I go out and buy groceries, I like to plan ahead for the week. We don't always stick to schedule (everyone needs a little spontaneity in their lives!) but we try to make sure we use up all of our groceries. It works out nicely, because we end up trying new recipes and enjoying our time together as we prepare them.
Just recently I found a recipe for beef (which is the husby's favorite) and it includes lots of delicious spices like cayenne, paprika, nutmeg, and cinnamon. I figured "why not!" might as well try something new!
I just toasted the spices and am getting ready to blend them for the beef dinner. Mmm the house smells delicious! Can't wait! I'll give a recipe review on Monday. Movie for the evening...to be determined. We have been on a Clive Owen kick lately...so we shall see.
